Pause for a Cause (Singapore) is Singapore’s first Cosplay volunteer group that is dedicated to helping make dreams come through with Cosplay. We love to make kids smile, and nothing touches us more than the look of excitement and anticipation we get from every unique child we meet.
From Power Rangers to Batman, Iron Man and even the Winter Soldier; we’ve got a hero (or princess) that’s loves to add bring some fun and sunshine to special kids all over Singapore.

Pause For a Cause was founded by Jacen Khoo in November 2013. A dedicated family man and a fan of pop culture, Jacen has been cosplaying since 2006. Initially a member of “501st Legion”, a Star Wars fan costuming group which participates in charity events. Jacen was inspired by them and decided to expand on the concept by getting passionate cosplayers, not just Star Wars fans, to use their costumes and expertise for social good.
One of our first events was a fund-raiser for Mercy Relief for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, organised by ClubSNAP. The campaign was a great success, successfully raising over SGD$30,000. Since then, we’ve reached out to countless families, friends and strangers through special birthday parties, fund raisers and hospital appearances by working in partnership with Make-A-Wish Singapore, KK Hospital, private individuals and others.
If you’re a charity, professional business or an individual who would like to reach out to a special child or group of kids, leave us a message via our contact us page and we’ll be happy to see how we can help out!
